Mindfulness Now – Mindfulness practice in Perth
There is no faster, more effective way to transform, enrich and enhance your life than through the practice of mindfulness. In developing MindfulnessNow, Jozay is providing an invaluable service to the people of Perth.
Established in 2010, Perth-based MindfulnessNow teaches techniques of mindful awareness to individuals and families living in Western Australia. We offer individual sessions, group programs and corporate presentations, tailored made to suit your needs. Mindfulness is awareness and involves the mental quality of non-judgemental attention that allows us to see things directly as they appear in the present moment.
MindfulnessNow embraces mindful awareness and we aim to teach you mindfulness skills through individual sessions or our courses, our goal being to provide you with practical mindfulness training that will help you better manage your stress and work towards becoming a healthier, happier and more compassionate human being.
I am a Clinical Psychologist who has been practicing for over 10 years. Having studied at Oxford University, I went on to obtain a Masters degree in Counselling from Notre Dame University and a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Murdoch University. I was born and raised in Hong Kong, and my previous life saw me work in the highly pressured and often frenetic world of international banking. Until settling in Perth in 2001, I spent 13 years in the field of international banking, working and living in many different international locations, including Hong Kong, Taiwan, Brunei, Sri-Lanka, Mauritius, Japan and the UK.
I believe in the transformative practice of mindful awareness and have adopted mindfulness as a healing modality after experiencing the positive changes mindfulness has made in my own life. My training includes advanced ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) training with Russ Harris, John Forsyth and Jane Morton and I integrate many of these techniques in my work and practice, utilising mindfulness as a method to treat and reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety in adults, adolescents and children.
